John George “Jack” Levitzke was born on 22 September 1921 and died on 10 October 1990. He married Norma Hilda Kelly (26 April 1920 – 2 September 2004) on 13 May 1944 and they had four children, one of who was a teacher of the deaf. Jack was superintendent of the Western Australian Deaf Society Inc. for 22 years.
