You can see from this newsletter which sports were popular in the community at the time – cricket and lacrosse. In the “Personal Pars” section at the end we learn about engagements, illnesses and honeymoon trips, but also that one W. Abbott who had obtained a job as a “boot clicker”. Not a job that we hear much about these days.
